According to glavcom.ua: Trump's special representative, Kitt Kellogg, claims at YES that the Russian army is not as powerful as known worldwide. According to Kellogg, they slightly exaggerate their capabilities. He believes they have a strong army, but not as much as they want to show.

'We discussed the Russian military, and the phrase was heard: 'well, we will still kick their butts', - Kellogg said.

Additionally, Kellogg advised Putin to stop threatening Europe with nuclear weapons. He emphasized that Trump does not tolerate attempts at bribery.

Trump is losing confidence in his ability to influence Putin

The US President has begun to doubt his ability to influence Putin regarding the conflict in Ukraine. Trump admitted to his advisors that he did not properly assess the situation and the Kremlin leader's desire for peace. Earlier, he had stated his readiness to impose sanctions against Russia, but only if all NATO countries do the same and stop purchasing Russian oil.

At YES, Kellogg expressed the opinion that the Russian army is not as powerful as spread by Kremlin propaganda. He called on Putin to stop making threats towards Europe, especially regarding nuclear weapons. Trump also admitted to losing confidence in his ability to influence Putin in the situation with Ukraine, acknowledging that he did not adequately assess the position and aspirations of the Russian leader for peace, thus softening his eagerness to impose sanctions in response to his encroachments.
