Intelligence: China Provided Russia with Satellite Data for Strikes on Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service reported that China provided Russia with satellite reconnaissance data for possible strikes on Ukraine, including objects owned by foreign investors. Oleg Aleksandrov, a representative of Ukrainian intelligence, confirmed this information in a comment to 'Ukrinform'.
'There are facts of a high level of interaction between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance of Ukraine's territory to identify and prepare for possible strikes. These objects, which may be potential targets, remain unknown for now.'
Experts believe that China is providing significant assistance to Russia in its military actions against Ukraine, including dual-use products and technical support. The cessation of subsidies for the import of Russian metals is also noted as part of Beijing's strategy to optimize costs and diversify supplies.
The cancellation of these subsidies could become a problem for Russian companies that previously benefited from these incentives to reduce logistics costs and gain a competitive advantage. Companies such as 'Norilsk Nickel' and 'Rusal' will find themselves in such a difficult situation.
Analyzing the information stated by Ukrainian intelligence, it is worth being cautious regarding China's export relations with Russia, as their actions may have serious implications for the geopolitical situation in the region and lead to further balancing of power in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
