GigaAI Unveils the SeeLight S1 Robot Butler

The first 100 test units are scheduled to be distributed to company employees in May 2026. Mass free trials in Wuhan are planned for the first half of 2027, with a market launch expected in June 2027 at a price of approximately $15,000.

Technical Specifications and Features

Founded in 2023 with backing from Huawei's investment division, GigaAI developed the SeeLight S1 in collaboration with the Hubei Province Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center. The robot features a humanoid design with wheels and two arms. During demonstrations, it showcased its capabilities by chopping vegetables, frying eggs, loading a washing machine, hanging laundry, making a bed, and opening curtains.

Testing will prioritize households with elderly members, children, or pets. The SeeLight S1 is equipped with a system that instantly halts movement upon contact with a person or animal, enhancing safety during use. Additionally, Shenzhen-based OneRobotics has signed a 45 million yuan contract for data collection, indicating strong interest in this market segment.

The global home robotics market was estimated at around $41 billion last year and is projected to grow by approximately 20% annually through 2027. GigaAI aims to secure its share of this promising market by introducing technologies that address societal needs.
