Currently, around 9,000 police officers are defending Ukraine on the front lines. Hundreds have been killed in combat or while performing service tasks, underscoring their courage and dedication. Six officers were awarded the following orders:

  • Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, 2nd Class
  • Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, 3rd Class

  • Order of Danylo Halytskyi

Through your achievements, you are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine lives and prevails-both on the front lines and in the fight against crime. I thank all police teams and each of you for your service, your work, and your dedication to your mission.

The Critical Role of Police Service in Wartime

This ceremony highlights the essential role police play in maintaining national security, especially during an armed conflict. The awards recognize officers’ contributions to defending the state and upholding the rule of law-a mission of vital importance for Ukrainian citizens today.
