Внаслідок затримок у постачанні, компанія Гринкевич сплатить 12 мільйонів гривень штрафів Міністерству оборони.

Penalty for the 'Trade Lines Retail' Company

According to Главком: The 'Trade Lines Retail' company, associated with businessman Igor Grinkevich, is required to pay 12 million UAH in penalties for failing to fulfill contracts with the Ministry of Defense in 2023. This decision was made by the Economic Court of Vinnytsia Oblast, which deemed the additional agreements made with this company invalid.

Contracts and Penalties

In 2023, six contracts were signed between the Ministry of Defense and 'Trade Lines Retail', with a total supply of property worth over 500 million UAH. Initially, the penalties amounted to 24 million UAH, but the court reduced this amount to 12 million UAH. Contracts with 'Trade Lines Retail' were valid until the end of 2023, and the penalty for violation of the deadlines was 0.1% of the value of the goods for each day of delay.

It is worth noting that the main contracts were concluded on February 23, 2023, and at that time, earthquakes in Turkey occurred on February 6, 2023, which could have affected the supplies. Igor Grinkevich, who is associated with this company, was detained two years ago for attempting to bribe 500,000 dollars. In addition, Grinkevich's case has been referred to court for supplying low-quality clothing worth over 1 billion UAH.

This situation underscores the importance of adhering to contractual obligations in the field of public procurement, especially in wartime conditions, when timely delivery of goods and services is critical for the country's defense capability. Penalties for non-compliance with deadlines can impact the reputation of companies and their ability to secure new contracts with the government.
