Pennies from 1992 are worth thousands: how to identify rare coins in your wallet

According to hvylya.net: Ukrainian coins from 1992 have begun to turn into real treasures for collectors, retaining a value of a thousand hryvnias regardless of their denomination. Particularly valuable are the pennies minted in 1992 of certain varieties.

According to the publication 'Coins-Berries', the most valuable among Ukrainian pennies are the coins of the variety 1.11AE from 1992. At auctions for collectors, these coins can be worth from 4000 to 14000 hryvnias.

Experts have identified the main differences of the valuable coin: the presence of a rounded tip of the upper right leaf and large berries on the reverse side. At the same time, more common in circulation are the coins of the variety 1.11AA with small berries, which have less value for collectors.

'Among Ukrainian money from 1992, coins of the variety 1.35AE with large berries are more commonly found. They are worth less, only 30-50 hryvnias,' representatives of the publication explained.
