Ukrainian Yuliya Kovalova won two bronze medals at the European Weightlifting Championship

Ukrainian athlete Yuliya Kovalova showed impressive results at the European Weightlifting Championship (U23). The girl won bronze in the snatch, lifting 83 kg, and also placed 6th in the clean and jerk with a result of 102 kg. In the total, lifting a combined weight of 185 kg, she also won bronze.Moreover, the Ukrainian team showed impressive results at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the overall medal tally. They won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making it the second most successful performance in Ukraine's history in these competitions. The team won the most awards in 2019, when they managed to secure 25 medals in various sports, including judo, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.
