Kyiv's Cultural Week

According to Главком: From January 26 to February 1, 2026, Kyiv will host a diverse and packed schedule of cultural events for residents and visitors alike. This annual week highlights the city's vibrant arts scene, offering a rich program across theater, exhibitions, and live music.

The theater lineup features several premieres reflecting contemporary trends:

  • "Looks Like Happiness," starring Ada Rohovtseva, will be performed at the Suzyr'ya Theater on January 26 and 27 at 6:00 PM.
  • "The Third Wheel" will take place at the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 27 at 6:00 PM.
  • On January 28 at 6:00 PM, "Hellish Moms" will be staged at the Lesya Ukrainka Theater, while "The Comedians" will be performed at the Theater on Podil at the same time.
  • On January 31 at 6:00 PM, "The Magnificent Century. The Funny One" will show at the Golden Gate Theater, and "How I Ended Up Alone" will be at the Young Theater.

Several notable exhibitions are also scheduled throughout the week:

  • "Tender Flower," an exhibition of 11 works by Kateryna Bilokur, is on display until February 1 at the National Museum of Decorative Art of Ukraine.
  • "Signs of Identity," an initiative by Karina Hayeva, opens on February 1 at the Museum of the History of Kyiv. It will feature 30 embroidered towels created by Ukrainians from 22 different countries.
  • "The World of Magical Childhood," showcasing 29 works by Halyna Bodiakova, runs until February 6, 2026, at the M. Zankovetska House-Museum.

Concerts and Stand-Up

The week's musical performances include:

  • A memorial concert for Kuzma, featuring the band Skryabin and Yurko Yurchenko, will be held on February 1 at Docker Pub.
  • The band Mertvyy Piven (Dead Rooster) will perform on February 1 at 6:30 PM at the Caribbean Club.
  • The choir Homín will give concerts on January 30 at 4:30 PM and January 31 at 3:30 PM at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

Stand-up comedy is also part of the program. Bohdan Boyaryn will perform a solo show on February 1 at 4:30 PM at Bochka Pub. Furthermore, a taping of the show "Rozhony" is scheduled for January 27 at 7:30 PM at F-Bar, featuring Ramil Yangulov, Mykyta Skreminskyi, Maks Vyshynskyi, Oleksii Pryimachenko, and Dmytro Zelinskyi.

This cultural week offers a wide array of events to suit varied interests, allowing Kyiv's citizens to enjoy theater, music, and art, thereby enriching the capital's cultural life.
