Tickets disappear in seconds: 'Ukrzaliznytsia' explains what is happening
Recently, Ukrainians have been experiencing difficulties in purchasing train tickets, which have become almost unavailable. 'Ukrzaliznytsia' urged passengers to buy tickets through the app to increase their chances of successful purchases and avoid the 'portal to hell'. This was reported by 'Hlavkom'. A female passenger shared that she managed to purchase 5 tickets for a specific route as she monitored the app and acted quickly. Other passengers also shared their struggles and frustrations regarding ticket availability, especially for popular destinations. To improve the service, passengers suggested lifting the 20-day advance purchase limit, as it artificially restricts demand for tickets, making them unavailable. Providers are also justifying the increased demand for certain routes and discussing additional measures to provide tickets for children's groups and defenders. Social networks indicate that available tickets are quickly bought up by resellers through bots and fake accounts, leading to insufficient ticket availability for regular passengers. 'Ukrzaliznytsia' explains this by the increased load due to a limited number of trains and higher demand in the summer period. An additional train is planned to launch between Kyiv and Chernihiv from July 27 and August 1-3. Additionally, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has made changes to the rules for transporting animals on passenger trains.
