Death of Brain in Volleyball Player Kazemi: Caused by Electric Shock in Pool
Tragedy in the World of Sports: Two Prominent Athletes Have Died
Iranian volleyball player Saber Kazemi has been declared dead due to brain death. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing a statement from the Iranian Volleyball Federation.
26-year-old Kazemi was the champion of the Asian Championship (2021) and the Asian Games (2018, 2022), and was awarded the title of Most Valuable Player at the Asian Championship in 2021. He recently signed a contract with the Qatari club 'Al-Rayyan' and during training sustained a serious brain injury, leading to tragic consequences.
The incident occurred in the hotel pool where the team was staying. Kazemi entered the water and received a severe electric shock. After that, he required urgent resuscitation.
The cause of death of 46-year-old former world boxing champion Ricky Hatton has also been revealed. Coroner Allison Match stated that the boxer was found unconscious in his bedroom, where he committed suicide.
Relatives had not seen Hatton since September 12. His sudden deterioration was a shock to everyone.
The day after Hatton failed to appear at an event, his manager found the boxer unconscious at home.
