Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated the Dnipro group: what it means for the front
According to glavcom.ua: The liquidation of the group will not affect the command of the troops and the operational situation on the front line. On the contrary, these changes are expected to improve management. Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, who headed this group, will continue to command the corresponding troops in the combat area, cooperating with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy.
The operational-strategic group of troops 'Dnipro' has completed its activities within the framework of the corps reform, reported the spokesperson of the General Staff, Major Andriy Kovalov. This structure was not permanent and performed temporary tasks. Currently, with the corps taking on their areas of responsibility and to improve the management of troops in Ukraine, there is no need for such operational-strategic groups, therefore 'Dnipro' has ceased to exist.
The operational-strategic group 'Dnipro' has ceased its activities due to the corps reform, but this change will not affect the command of the troops and the operational situation on the front line. Previously, the temporary tasks performed by this structure will now be assigned to other military units in order to improve the management of troops in Ukraine. Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, the former head of the 'Dnipro' group, will continue to command the corresponding troops in the combat zone under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskiy.
