Nearly 1000 hryvnias added to pensions: additional payments introduced for a special category of elderly people in Ukraine

According to hvylya.net: Starting from 2025, additional payments will be provided in Ukraine for lonely pensioners who need constant care. This innovation is aimed at the social protection of the most vulnerable segments of the population.

Who is eligible for this payment?

Pensioners aged 80 and older who live separately from relatives, require constant care, and receive an old-age pension, will receive a monthly supplement of 944 hryvnias starting in 2025.

It is important to note that pensioners receiving disability pensions will not be eligible for this supplement; only those receiving old-age pensions will qualify.

How to receive the supplement?

To receive the supplement, pensioners need to contact the social protection authorities or the Pension Fund of Ukraine with an application, copies of documents, and a medical certificate indicating the need for care.

Starting from 2025, lonely pensioners in Ukraine will have special supplements, which will improve their living conditions and provide greater social protection.
