National Police Conduct Sweeping Checks Across Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine’s National Police have carried out an extensive investigation targeting officials at Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCCs) nationwide. The inspections revealed illicit enrichment and false asset declarations totaling nearly 92 million hryvnias (around $2.5 million). As part of the probe, authorities executed more than 40 investigative actions involving current and former senior staff members.

Corruption Cases Exposed

Among the most notable cases is the head of a Regional Recruitment Center (RCC) in Odesa, who significantly boosted his personal wealth during his tenure, acquiring assets worth over 45 million hryvnias. Another suspect, an assistant to the head of a joint city TCC and Social Support Center, showed a discrepancy of 10 million hryvnias between declared assets and actual holdings. A former officer from a recruitment and staffing department at another RCC was also found to have a 6.6 million hryvnia gap.

Over several days, law enforcement officers compiled more than 150 administrative violation reports linked to corruption. Searches yielded vehicles, motorcycles, and cash in both national and foreign currencies. The National Police added that they are continuing evidence-gathering efforts to prepare formal charges against individuals involved in criminal proceedings.

These developments highlight the intensified efforts by Ukrainian law enforcement to combat corruption, particularly within state bodies responsible for army recruitment.
