According to Главком: On December 31, 2025, a large-scale power outage occurred in Domodedovo, Moscow region, leading to a lack of water and heating for residents. Around 17:00, a technological failure happened in the power supply networks in the Central, Western, and Northern microdistricts of Domodedovo. The reason for the failure was a voltage surge.
The administration of the Domodedovo municipal district promised to resolve the situation within two hours. It is noteworthy that a day before this, on December 30, an emergency power outage occurred in the Moscow region city of Ramenskoye, resulting in 100,000 people being left without electricity. Power was also cut off in the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” said the administration of the Domodedovo municipal district.
Residents of the city met the New Year under difficult conditions due to the lack of essential utilities.
Power supply issues in the region
This situation in Domodedovo highlights the reliability issues of the power supply in the region, which may worsen living conditions for local residents, especially during the holiday season. Power outages, water supply interruptions, and heating failures in winter are a serious challenge for the administration, which must take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Similar emergencies in other cities, such as Ramenskoye and St. Petersburg, indicate possible systemic problems that require urgent solutions.
