Numis Company Refutes Liquidation Claims for Prostor Stores

According to Главком: Numis, the parent company of the beauty and personal care chain Prostor, has officially denied earlier reports that its retail network was being shut down. Prior to this, the firm had sent letters to business partners and landlords announcing that store closures would begin on July 1 and continue for roughly one year. Those notices, dispatched on June 20, sparked significant backlash within the business community. However, citing recent positive developments in its operations, Numis has withdrawn those letters and issued formal retractions to all affected partners.

Business Optimization and Future Plans

An optimization process launched in early 2026 has already yielded measurable results: by May 2026, average sales per store had climbed more than 20% compared to May 2025. The Prostor chain continues to operate across 119 cities in Ukraine and employs over 2,000 people.

“The network is continuing its work. The company provides jobs for more than 2,000 people, Prostor stores are open in 119 Ukrainian cities, and they plan to grow further,” said a Numis press representative.

Despite the denial, some store locations may still close. The reasons behind any potential closures have not been disclosed. Once the optimization phase is complete, the company intends to unveil a renewed brand strategy and a fresh market positioning-a clear signal that Numis aims to maintain and even strengthen its foothold in the beauty and personal care sector.

The Prostor situation highlights how critical clear communication is for businesses, especially during periods of transition. The retraction of liquidation rumors demonstrates the company’s commitment to stability and to preserving the trust of both partners and customers. At the same time, the possibility of closing certain outlets suggests that Numis continues to adapt to market conditions-likely as part of a broader strategy for long-term growth. The anticipated new brand strategy could also mark a significant step in reinforcing Prostor’s standing in a competitive beauty and personal care market.

While Numis has refuted the closure claims and emphasized its commitment to growth, the situation remains fluid.
