The minimum wage in Ukraine will increase in three stages: how the tariff scale will change
The Cabinet of Ministers published the Budget Declaration for 2026-2028, noting the phased increase of the minimum wage in Ukraine.
According to the declaration:
- from January 1, 2026 - 8,688 UAH
- from January 1, 2027 - 9,374 UAH
- from January 1, 2028 - 10,059 UAH
Over three years, the minimum wage will increase by almost 1.4 thousand UAH.
The tariff scale will also increase
It is also predicted that the salary of an employee in the I tariff group of the Unified Tariff Scale will increase:
- from January 1, 2026 - 3,470 UAH
- from January 1, 2027 - 3,744 UAH
- from January 1, 2028 - 4,018 UAH
The living wage adjusted for inflation
The sizes of the living wage for the next three years are calculated taking into account inflation and macroeconomic indicators, providing support for low-income families.
The level of provision by the living wage for different categories of citizens:
- working-age - 60%
- with disabilities - 100%
- children - 145%
Exceptions for government employees
The living wage for government employees will remain at the level of 2025.
The approved Budget Declaration for 2026-2028 anticipates the phased increase of the minimum wage and the projected sizes of the living wage adjusted for inflation, helping to support low-income segments of the population.
