New Rules for Working with the 'Yechirka' System

The Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine is introducing new rules for working with the 'Yechirka' system for freight transport starting from November 24. These changes aim to enhance discipline and responsibility among carriers.

One of the key innovations stipulates that the queue can only be extended once within 60 days. For this, extension duration options will be available:

  • 4 hours
  • 6 hours
  • 8 hours
  • 10 hours

Additionally, the system introduces accountability for systemic violations, evidenced by the blocking of the ability to create a new entry for 14 days. Violations are considered to be a double cancellation of the queue for entry at the checkpoint, as well as the non-arrival of the freight vehicle.

According to statistics, in October, the system recorded over 25 thousand cases of queue cancellations, of which about 22 thousand were made by carriers independently. The updated rules create clear mechanisms for discipline and accountability. These tools will help ensure the stability of the queue and equal conditions for all carriers - both Ukrainian and foreign.

Optimization of the Transportation Process

The changes implemented in the 'Yechirka' system are aimed at optimizing the process of transporting goods through checkpoints and reducing queues, which is relevant in the context of the increasing volume of freight transport. The implementation of new rules may also enhance resource utilization efficiency and improve the competitiveness of Ukrainian carriers in the international market.
