Ukraine's Defense Ministry Digitizes Drone Supply with New DOT-Chain Arsenal System

Digital Transformation of Military Supply Chains

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ministry of Defense's procurement agency has announced the full digitization of its supply process for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was made possible by implementing the DOT-Chain Arsenal system, which operates at the final stage of transferring finished products to military units. The new platform automates interactions with suppliers and gathers real-time data, significantly cutting down information processing time and boosting supply efficiency.

Expanding to Critical Supply Areas

The successful pilot project with drones marks just the first phase of this initiative. The Ministry of Defense plans to gradually extend the DOT-Chain system to all key logistical areas, including:

• ammunition
• electronic warfare systems
• ground vehicles
• clothing and equipment
• fuel and lubricants

This system handles mission-critical data, which substantially improves oversight of the entire supply chain. This digital overhaul is part of a broader effort to modernize Ukraine's defense logistics under challenging wartime conditions.

The DOT-Chain Arsenal system is built according to the American NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0, and its developer has been assessed for compliance with the international ISO 27001 information security standard. As Arsen Zhumadilov noted:

"Thanks to these digital tools, the state can now track the movement of assets from manufacturer to logistics depots in real time."

This enables better process control and decision-making based on reliable data. Where thousands of paper documents were once required, the new system now provides a complete supply picture in a matter of seconds, which is critically important for the timely delivery of all necessary supplies to the front lines.

This supply chain digitization initiative has the potential to greatly improve the effectiveness of defense procurement in Ukraine. The implementation of DOT-Chain Arsenal will not only reduce bureaucratic delays but also ensure a more transparent supply system, which is vital for supporting combat units. Given the ongoing conflict, the speed and accuracy of delivering military equipment and materials have become paramount for national security.
