Customs Registers: New Rules Approved in Ukraine

According to hvylya.net: The government is streamlining the processes of creating and maintaining customs registers. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that standardizes the processes for the creation and maintenance of several important registers by customs authorities. The changes are being implemented in accordance with the legislative acts of the European Union. This means the unification of registers such as the Unified State Register of Authorized Economic Operators, the Register of Guarantors, and others. Data entry into these registers is carried out by the State Customs Service and customs offices using an automated information system.

Data entry into these registers is carried out by the State Customs Service and, in cases established by the Customs Code of Ukraine, by customs authorities depending on the type of activity of enterprises, or automatically using the Unified Automated Information System of customs authorities.

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance emphasize that this initiative is aimed at harmonizing Ukrainian customs legislation with European standards. Information from these registers can be useful for analyzing services, identifying trends, and developing strategies for foreign trade development.
