Frosts down to -22°C in the north
According to Главком: Forecaster Natalia Didenko discussed the current winter weather in Ukraine, predicting cold temperatures in the coming days and explaining temperature fluctuations. This winter in Ukraine is marked by sharp temperature changes, which is typical for this time of year.
In northern Ukraine, particularly in Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, the lowest temperatures are observed. A week ago, the temperature in central regions of Ukraine ranged from +10 °C to -10 °C. In the next 2-3 days, cold weather with frosts is expected in Ukraine. The coldest temperatures are likely to occur in the north, where in some places the temperature may drop to -15...-22 °C. Significant precipitation is not expected due to the influence of the Siberian anticyclone.
Natalia Didenko noted that the weather is always changeable, and there is nothing abnormal about that.
She also emphasized that professional forecasters work with forecasts for one to three days, at most approximately for 5-7 days. It is best to rely on sources where professionals work, which allows for more accurate forecasts.
Thus, Ukrainians can prepare for cold weather, taking into account the forecasters' predictions.
Preparing for Frosts
During the winter period, temperature fluctuations are traditionally observed in Ukraine, and this year the situation confirms this trend. Forecasters warn about the need to prepare for harsh frosts, especially for residents of northern regions, where temperatures can reach record lows.
It is important to keep an eye on weather forecast updates to be ready for sharp changes in climatic conditions.
