Teamgroup Introduces the T-CREATE EXPERT P35SG SSD at Computex 2026

According to НВ — Техно: At the Computex 2026 trade show in Taiwan, Teamgroup showcased its T-CREATE EXPERT P35SG SSD, a drive featuring a unique remote data destruction capability powered by an integrated 4G LTE modem. This device can receive commands independently of the connected computer or host network, providing a high level of data security. This innovation addresses growing concerns about physical data theft and unauthorized access in enterprise and field environments.

The T-CREATE EXPERT P35SG employs several methods to erase information, including:

  • Hardware-based wiping;
  • Physical breakdown through high voltage;
  • Logical erasure.

For user convenience, the SSD features a physical button that allows instant data deletion with a single press. The device also includes built-in backup power sources, ensuring the erasure process completes even in the event of a sudden power loss. Teamgroup states that these methods meet strict standards designed to prevent data recovery.

Other Technologies at the Show

Additionally, the exhibition highlighted a prototype USB drive with a detonator, developed in the Russian Federation. Unlike the T-CREATE EXPERT P35SG, this device takes a more radical approach to data destruction. Also on display was Microsoft's Project Silica technology, which stores data on glass plates. This development can preserve information for over 10,000 years, a stark contrast to conventional storage media that typically require replacement every five to ten years.

Overall, Computex 2026 showcased not only innovative data storage approaches but also a wide range of technologies aimed at addressing pressing information security challenges in today's world. The emergence of solutions like the SSD with remote data destruction highlights the growing importance of information protection in an era of digital threats. These technologies could prove critical for companies and organizations handling sensitive data that requires robust safeguards.
