A Deputy in Odessa Will Be Tried for Aiding the Aggressor: Details of the Case
The Deputy Is Accused of Aiding the Aggressor
The Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against a deputy of the Tairova Village Council for aiding the aggressor. According to the investigation, since February 24, 2022, she has expressed anti-Ukrainian views and actively assisted the enemy.
During the period from 2022 to 2023, the accused spread materials justifying Russia's aggression against Ukraine through hostile Telegram channels and discussed this with acquaintances. The case has been referred to court to determine her responsibility.
Local Residents Did Not Allow Funeral of Fallen Defender in the Church
In the village of Novoselivka in Odessa, relatives and residents were unable to hold a memorial service in the church for the fallen defender of Ukraine, Flavia Lianka, due to the refusal of the local priest. They had to conduct the service outdoors as they were prohibited from entering the church.
The church's clergyman explained that the decision to deny the body entry into the temple was made by the local priest. The incident was reported by a village resident, Angela Sirbu, on her Facebook.
The events described in both situations illustrate examples of unacceptable behavior and views of Ukrainian citizens that conflict with the laws and values of the country. The result may be legal prosecution and negative community reactions.
