According to glavcom.ua: In Vinnytsia region, border guards displayed true heroism by saving a man attempting to cross the border while floating on an inflatable mattress. A resident of Vinnytsia went down to the Dniester River in the evening, but the strong current overwhelmed him. The border guards reacted swiftly, pulled the man to the shore, and provided assistance.
«The reality turned out to be much harsher: the current quickly exhausted the man - he lost control of the floating device and fell into the cold water».
The violator was brought to administrative responsibility. It is also worth noting that earlier, the border guards detained another man who attempted to cross the border on a paraglider. The actions of the border guards deserve respect and recognition for their dedication to their duty and the lives of citizens.
