Call for Applications: 'Leaders for Public Health' Program

According to Міністерство Здоров'я: Applications are now being accepted for the second cohort of the free 'Leaders for Public Health' training program, designed for emerging leaders in the public health sector. The program will run from March through July 2026 and is structured around four modules, each to be held in a different Ukrainian city. Thirty participants will be selected to join this initiative, which aims to build a broader community of leaders focused on strengthening leadership capacity and implementing human-centered solutions in public health.

Program Structure

The training will consist of 3.5-day modules held in the following cities:

• Kyiv
• Khmelnytskyi
• Rivne
• Lviv

Participants will concentrate on developing specific human-centered solutions for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. The solutions designed during the program are intended for implementation at the community, regional, and national levels.

The application deadline is February 15. The 'Leaders for Public Health' program was developed and is implemented by the consulting agency One Health in partnership with the UCU Business School and the Center for Public Health Development at the Ukrainian Catholic University. It operates within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project 'Acting for Health,' which is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and supported by the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Center of Ukraine.

This initiative represents a significant step in preparing a new generation of public health leaders, which could substantially impact the effectiveness of Ukraine's healthcare system. Such leadership development is crucial for health systems undergoing reform and facing complex challenges.

The program's focus on non-communicable diseases, which pose a major threat to population health, underscores its commitment to implementing modern approaches in prevention and control.
