According to Главком: The National Bank of Ukraine set a record dollar exchange rate on January 6, fixing the rate at 42.42 hryvnias per dollar. This means that the rate has increased by 2 kopecks compared to the previous maximum. Meanwhile, the average selling rate of the dollar at exchange offices on this date is 42.69 hryvnias.

The euro exchange rate on January 6 is set at 50.12 hryvnias. At exchange points, dollars are purchased at 42.14 hryvnias, while the euro rate at exchange points is 49.44 hryvnias. It is worth noting that the dollar is demonstrating the largest annual decline since 2017, and forecasts for the dollar in 2026 are weak. The euro has also jumped 14% to over $1.17.
