Streamlined Deferment Process for Academic Staff

According to Мін. Оборони: Academic professionals can now request a deferment through the Reserve+ mobile app. The procedure involves logging in, selecting the appropriate category, and submitting the request. Users must first authenticate in the Reserve+ app, then choose the category 'Workers of higher and vocational education, researchers' and press the submission button.

The system automatically verifies the data against state registries. If the information in the Unified State Electronic Database of Education (USEDE) is current, the deferment is granted automatically. In case of a rejection, the user can access further details via a provided link.

Benefits of the New System

This new deferment mechanism for researchers is part of government efforts to support the education sector during martial law. By automating the process, administrative hurdles for educators are reduced, which can positively impact their professional growth and ensure the continuity of scientific work. The Reserve+ app also highlights the importance of digitalizing public services in Ukraine.

  • Automation of the deferment process
  • Reduction of administrative barriers
  • Support for educators' professional development
  • Ensuring continuity of scientific research

In addition to the newly introduced online deferment process, the Reserve+ app also features automatic renewal options. This functionality applies to various categories of Ukrainians, further simplifying the administrative tasks associated with deferments. For those interested in understanding how these automatic renewals work and which categories are eligible, more information can be found in our detailed article on automatic deferment renewals.
