Exercises 'Sea Breeze 2025': what tasks for Ukrainian ships

The Ukrainian Naval Forces are actively participating in the 'Sea Breeze 2025' military exercises, where the main focus is on practicing mine countermeasure operations in the maritime area. According to the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, Ukrainian ships are practicing the search and destruction of explosive objects, using both standard mine warfare equipment and special units.

'We are practicing mine countermeasures, which include the search and destruction of explosive objects. For this, we use both the equipment our mine warfare ships are equipped with, as well as special units,' noted Pletenchuk.

The skills acquired have practical applications in the operation of the Ukrainian grain corridor. The special units participating in the exercises are engaged in daily demining of the territorial sea waters of Ukraine. Four mine warfare ships are taking part in the 'Sea Breeze 2025' exercises, including two Alkmaar-class and two Sandown-class ships.

With the participation of the Ukrainian Navy in international exercises 'Sea Breeze 2025', Ukrainian sailors have the opportunity to improve their skills in mine warfare and readiness to accomplish tasks in conditions similar to real combat operations. This enhances the effectiveness of cooperation between Ukrainian military personnel and partners from other countries within the framework of international military coalitions.
