Officials' Declaration Violations

According to НАЗК: Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has identified significant discrepancies in the 2024 asset declarations submitted by public officials. Two officials from the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions were found guilty of filing false information, each receiving an administrative fine. One concealed assets worth over UAH 1.8 million, while the other hid more than UAH 987,000.

Additionally, a district council deputy from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast now faces a criminal indictment after failing to declare 12 land plots, two apartments, and a parking space. The total value of the undeclared assets in her case amounts to UAH 4.8 million.

Further Violations Emerge

Since the start of July 2026, the NACP has also submitted five substantiated reports to the National Police regarding possible false declarations by other individuals. The amounts involved in these five cases range from UAH 552,000 to nearly UAH 8 million. The potential declarants include:

  • A neurologist
  • A member of a freelance military medical commission
  • A deputy of the Khmilnyk City Council
  • An official of the Safyanivka Village Council
  • An employee of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast

These developments highlight the critical importance of enforcing anti-corruption laws in Ukraine, especially amid growing demands for transparency and accountability among public servants. The detection of declaration violations points to systemic governance issues and underscores the need for further reforms. At the same time, the proactive stance of the NACP and other law enforcement bodies in investigating corruption cases reflects an intensified focus on combating corruption at all levels of government.

These recent findings are not isolated incidents, as similar cases of undeclared assets have emerged across the country. For instance, a councillor in the Cherkasy region faces charges due to the failure to declare 18 land plots. This situation further emphasizes the urgent need for transparency among public officials.
