According to hvylya.net: The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has announced the launch of the Transparency Register in Ukraine, which coincided with the entry into force of the Law 'On Lobbying'. This was reported by the head of the NACP, Viktor Pavlushchyk, during a briefing at Ukrinform.

Now we can say that this Law has not just remained on paper. Along with it, the NACP launches a key tool for its implementation – the Transparency Register. It is already available.

Pavlushchyk explained that previously, influence on the adoption of state decisions could occur behind closed doors and unofficially, but now every lobbying entity is required to officially obtain status. This means that either you operate openly and honestly, or you have no right to influence state decisions for your beneficiaries' own or commercial interests.

The implementation of the lobbying institution should bring benefits to all participants in the process. For business, this means the ability to influence state decisions through registered lobbying activities, which will ensure transparent participation in legislative development and reduce corruption risks. For the state, lobbying will help better consider the interests of the private sector in policy-making, and for society - it will ensure the adoption of state decisions taking into account wide public discussion.

Ukraine has introduced a Transparency Register and a law on lobbying, which will contribute to transparency and openness in influential processes at the state level. This is a step towards combating corruption and creating equal opportunities for all participants.
