A total of 170 million people in the United States watched games across the league's four main broadcast platforms: NBC/Peacock, NBA TV, ABC/ESPN, and Amazon Prime Video. This represents an 86% increase compared to the 2024/2025 season. Among the 57 televised games this season, an average of two million viewers tuned in per broadcast, marking the highest average since the 2011/2012 season. This surge highlights the league's growing mainstream appeal and successful media strategy.

Fans watched NBA content for over 920 million hours, a 25% jump from the previous season and also the highest total since 2011/2012. Furthermore, attendance at NBA arenas over the last three seasons has been higher than any other three-season period in league history. Viewership for the NBA Cup grew by 90%, and the All-Star Game on NBC drew 8.8 million viewers, its largest audience since 2011.

Ukraine's National Team Results

Meanwhile, Ukraine's national basketball team continued its campaign in the qualification rounds for the 2027 FIBA World Cup. In the fourth qualifying round, the team suffered a 78:64 defeat to Spain. Ukrainian players, including Lukashov, Kovliar, and Voinarovych, attempted to challenge the strong opponent but were unable to secure a victory. Spain had also defeated Ukraine 86:66 in the third qualifying round.

However, the Ukrainian team secured an 88:71 victory over Denmark in the second round and won its first qualifying match against Georgia with a score of 92:79. In the game against Georgia, Kovliar was the top performer, scoring 31 points, while the match against Denmark showcased effective team play that led to the win.
