In October, Russia continues to occupy Ukrainian territory for the third consecutive month. According to the monitoring project Deep State, 267 square kilometers were occupied this month, which is almost the same indicator as in September. The most difficult situation remains in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia, where Russian troops are actively operating.

According to analysts, the Russian-occupied territory has increased by 0.04%, reaching a total area of 19.09% of the entire Ukrainian space. At the same time, the number of assault actions has increased by 2.3%, indicating a certain rise in enemy activity.

“In relative terms, the amount of occupied territory has grown by 3.1%, while the number of assault actions has increased by 2.3%,” emphasized representatives of Deep State.

It is worth noting that the Russian troops made particular progress in the direction of Novopavlivka-Hulai Pole, which became the most active in October. In other directions, the situation remained stable, although the aggressor tried to increase activity near Kostiantynivka and in the Kharkiv direction.

The President commented on the situation

In response to reports of a possible visit by Putin to the occupied territories, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that everyone understands the consequences of this situation. He noted that Russian troops have concentrated near Pokrovsk, which poses a threat to the entire country. The head of the Security Service of Ukraine emphasized that Russia's statements regarding the occupation of Pokrovsk are manipulation, and the occupation continues to bring significant losses to the Russian military.
