The victims of the floods in Odesa were 10 people: among the dead is an employee of the OVA and Ukrzaliznytsia

According to glavcom.ua: It is reported that 23-year-old Nadiya Mysheyi, an employee of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Odessa Regional State Administration, went missing after 19:00. Her body was found in Serhiy Eisenstein Lane. The death was reported on October 3, out of respect for the parents of the deceased, who are abroad.

As a result of heavy rains and flooding in Odesa on September 30, 10 people lost their lives. Among the victims of the abnormal disaster are employees of the Odessa OVA and Ukrzaliznytsia, reports Glavcom.

In addition, due to the bad weather, a 38-year-old employee of Ukrzaliznytsia lost her life. The woman was returning home from work but could not drive through the storm and walked on foot down the street, but she never reached her house.

It should be noted that in Odesa, the strong current during the bad weather knocked a family off their feet and flooded their home. Four adults and one child died, unable to save themselves.

Recall that on September 30, record rains caused by a slow-moving local cyclone over the Black Sea hit Odesa. The city received 94 mm of precipitation in one day, which is 224% of the monthly norm. Meteorologists explain that the anticyclone blocked the cyclone's movement, exacerbating atmospheric fronts and causing local downpours, and due to the risk of flooding, the warning level was raised to red.
