The attack caused significant damage: four multi-apartment residential buildings and at least 14 cars were damaged. The building where the victims live was damaged from the second to the sixth floor. As a result of the attack, part of the city remained without electricity.
Rescuers, medics, municipal, and social services are working at the scene. The operational headquarters, a mobile invincibility point, and a heating point of the State Emergency Service have been deployed to assist the victims.
“Five individuals have been hospitalized, including three children. One adult is in serious condition; the rest are in moderate condition, including an infant with inhalation poisoning,” said Oleg Kiper.
Law enforcement is recording another crime.
“These strikes are another evidence of the terrorist tactics of the enemy, who deliberately attacks the civilian infrastructure of peaceful cities in Odesa region, threatening the life and health of people,” added Kiper.
This attack in Odesa once again highlights the threat that military actions pose to the civilian population, especially children, in Ukraine. The damage to residential buildings and infrastructure indicates serious consequences of the conflict for peaceful residents. The situation in the region remains tense, and services continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the attack and providing assistance to the victims.
