Night attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine's gas infrastructure: 'Naftogaz' reports damage
According to hvylya.net: On the night of July 22, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine's gas infrastructure. The head of the 'Naftogaz' group, Sergey Koretsky, reported that dozens of drones attacked the company's facilities, resulting in their destruction.
This is not the first case of an attack on gas facilities. Koretsky emphasized that these facilities have no military significance, hence this is clearly an act of terrorism. 'This is pure terrorism aimed at intimidating the population and undermining our national will,' he stressed.
According to him, Russia's goal is not only to damage energy infrastructure but also to hinder preparations for the heating season, disrupt stable gas supply, and increase pressure on citizens in the winter.
Emergency crews are currently working on-site to mitigate the consequences of the attacks. The situation is under control, the company reported. Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported on the speed of restoring energy and the risks of new outages.
The attack on Ukraine's gas infrastructure by Russia has caused serious destruction and poses a threat to the country's energy supply. Ukrainian authorities are taking measures to eliminate the consequences of the attack and prevent similar situations in the future.
