According to glavcom.ua: German twin singers Alice and Ellen Kessler decided to take their own lives by choosing assisted suicide. The Eurovision stars announced that they did not wish to continue living and died in their home near Munich at the age of 89. Police arriving at the scene confirmed their death and the absence of signs of violent crime.
According to the German publication Bild, the Kessler sisters made the decision to end their lives themselves, reflecting on their wish to be cremated and buried next to their mother and beloved pet. Assisted suicide became legal in Germany in 2020, emphasizing that such a step can only be taken by an adult patient at their own request.
