Nova Poshta Announces Tariff Increases

According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine's leading courier company, Nova Poshta, has announced new, higher delivery rates for parcels and documents, which will take effect on April 13, 2026. The cost for sending documents within a city will be 70 hryvnias, while nationwide delivery will cost 80 hryvnias, representing a 10-hryvnia increase.

Revised Parcel Delivery Rates

New rates for city parcel delivery have also been set. The cost for a parcel up to 2 kg will be 70 hryvnias, up to 10 kg will be 115 hryvnias, and up to 30 kg will be 180 hryvnias. For nationwide parcel delivery, sending an item up to 2 kg will cost 90 hryvnias, up to 10 kg will be 135 hryvnias, and up to 30 kg will be 200 hryvnias. For cargo over 30 kg within a city, a rate of 7 hryvnias per kg will apply, while nationwide delivery for cargo over 30 kg will start at 11 hryvnias per kg, varying by delivery zone.

Nova Poshta representatives explained the tariff adjustments, stating that 'the current market situation is accompanied by a significant increase in operational load, particularly due to rising cost of living, instability in the global energy market, and increased fuel prices.' - Source: Nova Poshta press service

This price increase by Nova Poshta is likely to significantly impact consumers, as higher delivery costs could lead to increased expenses for both businesses and the general public. Given the economic challenges facing the country, these new tariffs may also signal a broader trend, prompting other logistics and delivery companies to review their own pricing. These changes could affect the overall delivery market and consumer habits in Ukraine. As a dominant player in the market, Nova Poshta's pricing decisions often set a precedent for the industry.

As Nova Poshta adjusts its delivery rates, it's important to note that Ukraine's postal service is also set to revise its parcel pricing, starting in April 2026. This simultaneous change in tariffs reflects a broader trend in the logistics sector, where rising operational costs are prompting major players to reevaluate their pricing strategies. Understanding these shifts can help consumers navigate the evolving delivery landscape.
