Nova Poshta warns about phishing: how to recognize fraudulent letters about debts
New wave of phishing attacks
Nova Poshta has warned about a new wave of phishing attacks that occurred on November 26, 2025. Fraudsters are sending fake letters mentioning debts owed to the company. This situation has raised concerns among customers, as such fraudulent actions can lead to financial losses.
This is not the first wave of phishing attacks, as in September 2025, Nova Poshta already warned about a massive phishing campaign involving fake SMS. In Ukraine, the cyber police record thousands of financial crimes online each year, indicating the growing activity of fraudsters. They use the names of reliable companies to legitimize their attacks and deceive trusting users.
Recommendations for clients
Experts advise exercising caution when making online payments, doing so only on secure sites with the https protocol. Nova Poshta has also provided recommendations for its clients, including:
- checking the sender's address;
- avoiding opening letters from unknown senders;
- enabling two-factor authentication.
It is worth noting that common schemes for financial crimes include 'Call from the bank', 'Friend in trouble', and phishing during online shopping.
In light of these events, it is important to remain vigilant and aware to avoid fraud and protect one’s finances.
