According to glavcom.ua: Seattle Mayor Keti Wilson has joined the Starbucks workers' strike. After winning the election, she spoke at the picket line and urged voters not to buy coffee from this café. Workers are demanding higher wages and better working conditions. The new mayor of New York has also supported the Starbucks boycott and stated plans to call President Trump.

Both mayors responded to potential threats from the Trump administration and took on the coordination of measures to prevent the mass introduction of federal agents into their cities. Their actions aim to protect the rights of local residents and workers.
