According to hvylya.net: The third scheme is described as 'virtual kidnapping'. Criminals inform the victim by phone that their bank card is being used for suspicious operations. For 'security verification', they initiate a transfer of several hryvnias to the victim's card, asking to return the amount 'to block the card'. As a result, the scammers gain access to the victim's account and withdraw money.
The Cyber Police Department has urged citizens to be cautious, not to provide personal or confidential information over the phone, not to follow the instructions of strangers, and to refuse any similar offers involving money transfers.
