New Year Weather in Ukraine: What Snow and Frost to Expect on December 31

According to Главком: The weather forecast in Ukraine for the New Year holidays, particularly for December 31 and January 1, predicts possible precipitation and temperature fluctuations. On December 31, snow is expected in the western regions of the country. The temperature at night will range from -5°C to -11°C, while during the day it will be from -1°C to -7°C.

At the same time, on December 30, the temperature in Transcarpathia and southern Ukraine will be around 0°C. Today, December 26, cloudy weather prevails in Ukraine, and snow is also forecasted. According to meteorologist Ivan Semilyta, the weather situation on December 31 will be influenced by a cyclone, the center of which is located slightly north of Ukraine.

Light to moderate snow is expected.

The temperature regime will remain the same as on December 31. Last year, on New Year's night 2022, there was no snow across the country, except for the mountainous areas of the western regions. Therefore, this year's forecasts promise a more wintry atmosphere during the holidays.
