NVIDIA has introduced a new version of DLSS 5 scaling technology that focuses not only on performance but also on image quality. This is reported by VideoCardz.

DLSS 5 from NVIDIA: How graphics quality will change

The new technology was showcased at the GTC 2026 conference. In DLSS 5, the company has focused on real-time neural rendering that significantly improves lighting and detail in games.

The system uses artificial intelligence to create more realistic frames, adding effects that previously required significant GPU resources.

Key features of DLSS 5:

  • photorealistic real-time lighting

  • improved material and texture detail

  • use of neural models for frame generation

  • focus not only on FPS but also on image quality.

Neural rendering technology: when will DLSS 5 be available

NVIDIA notes that DLSS 5 will be an important step in graphics development as the technology transitions from simple performance enhancement to image generation.

The new version of DLSS is expected to be released in the fall of 2026. It will be part of upcoming games and updates for current projects.

DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) has long been used to enhance performance in games. Previous versions allowed increasing frame rates without significant loss of quality, and DLSS 5 expands this approach by incorporating elements of realistic graphics generation.

Recall that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States held a series of secret briefings for leaders of technology companies, including Apple, Nvidia, and AMD. The main topic of the meetings was China's preparation for a possible military invasion of Taiwan in 2027.
