According to МЗС: During the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha convened a meeting of the Odessa Triangle format with his counterparts from Moldova and Romania. The discussions centered on energy assistance, the path to European Union membership for Ukraine and Moldova, and enhanced cooperation on energy security. This regional forum has gained prominence as a key platform for coordinating responses to shared challenges in the Black Sea region.
Participants focused their attention on several critical areas:
- Further diversifying natural gas supplies, including via the Trans-Balkan route;
- Developing a more interconnected regional energy grid;
- Collaborating to counter disinformation, hybrid threats, and cyberattacks.
Andrii Sybiha emphasized the Odessa Triangle's role as a cornerstone for regional security and prosperity.
He thanked Romania and Moldova for their energy support to Ukraine during Russia's winter campaign of terror and stressed the need to increase pressure on the aggressor state. This includes imposing entry bans on individuals who facilitate Russian aggression against Ukraine.
