One subscription for buses, trams, and trolleybuses: Lviv sets a sales record
In 15 months, passengers using public transport in Lviv purchased 100 thousand subscriptions for travel. They allow unlimited use of city buses, trams, and trolleybuses for a period of 30 days. The Lviv City Council reports.
LeоCart Subscriptions: Record Sales in October 2026
In October, passengers purchased over 10 thousand subscriptions and made 770 thousand validations. This is a record monthly sales figure since the launch of the travel passes.
«October became a record month for the number of subscriptions purchased. Last month, passengers bought over 10 thousand subscriptions and made 770 thousand validations», — said Mykola Vlasyuk, the director of LKP «Lvivavtodor».
Subscriptions were launched on July 1, 2025. They are valid on all city public transport in Lviv, so there is no need to purchase separate tickets for buses, trams, or trolleybuses.
At the same time, 100 thousand sold subscriptions do not mean the same number of unique users: one passenger might purchase them multiple times. The number of validations reflects trip registrations, not the number of people.
Transport Subscription in Lviv: Where to Buy and What Limitations Exist
The general subscription is available on the LeoCart transport card and in the LeoCard mobile application. For a student pass, a specific student transport card is required: this type of subscription is not sold in the app.
You can purchase a subscription for the transport card:
-
at the Tourist Information Centre in Dvortsova Square;
-
through the app, website, or EasyPay terminals;
-
through the E-shop website.
The pass is intended exclusively for its owner. An unlimited number of trips does not allow payment for other passengers' travels.
For daily trips, the convenience of the subscription lies in the fact that their number during 30 days is unlimited. However, the travel pass and the preferential LeoCart card have different usage conditions: the purchase of a subscription itself does not grant preferential status.
