The police fines for a faulty spare tire: who is threatened with 510 hryvnias

Experts note that spare tires also have a limited lifespan - about five years. Even if they have been used very little, the rubber ages, which can lead to a traffic accident in a critical moment.

The police refer to Article 121 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine. The fine for a faulty spare tire ranges from 340 to 510 hryvnias, and the car can be sent to a special site in some cases.

Therefore, experts recommend regularly checking the production date of tires, ensuring proper storage conditions for the spare tire, and avoiding the use of tires with defects. Even if the spare tire looks reliable, it can pose a serious threat in a dangerous situation.
