112 service operators handled millions of calls

In two years of operation in Ukraine, the emergency service line 112 processed over 7 million calls. This was reported by Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.

Operators take calls from foreign citizens and can also communicate in sign language via video communication. Almost 700 calls came from foreigners, served by operators who speak English, Polish, Spanish, and other languages. In addition, veterans who are unable to serve due to injuries or health loss have joined the 112 team. 17 defenders are already working as operators on the line, their experience and responsibility are valuable for work on the line where every second counts.

The centers of the unified emergency response system 112 are located in Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro. The opening of a new center in Odesa is planned.

The Ukrainian emergency service line 112 continues to actively develop, providing quick and quality assistance to citizens in critical situations. The implementation of new technologies and the involvement of veterans as operators emphasize the importance of effective and responsible activity in the field of emergency assistance.
