Revenue Trends Among Ukrainian Companies

According to Главком: According to the Opendatabot-2026 index, Ukraine's leading wholesale trade firms collectively generated 697.27 billion UAH in revenue over the past year-a 23% increase compared to the previous period. The minimum revenue threshold to enter the top 10 ranking rose to nearly 43 billion UAH, up from 38 billion UAH in 2025. This data reflects the performance of the country's largest wholesale operators, which play a key role in the supply chain across multiple industries.

The fuel sector dominates the top 10 list with three companies represented. The tobacco, pharmaceutical, and metallurgical industries each have two participants, while the food sector accounts for one company in this ranking.

Entrepreneurship in Ukraine

Approximately 74,000 entrepreneurs in Ukraine run businesses that generate over 10 million UAH in annual revenue. The total number of business owners who filed yearly reports stands at around 360,000, with women making up 28% of this group.

Starting September 1, 2026, the 'Vlasna Sprava' grant program will be updated. Notably, the requirement to create jobs for the initial start-up grant has been eliminated, and for business scaling, only one new job will need to be created.

The growth in wholesale trade sector revenues signals a recovery and expansion of business activity in Ukraine, which could have a positive impact on the national economy.

The updated 'Vlasna Sprava' grant program is also designed to support entrepreneurs by offering them greater opportunities for growth, potentially leading to new job creation and higher overall employment levels across the country.

As the wholesale trade sector shows significant revenue growth, new business grants available for Ukrainian entrepreneurs starting September 1 could further enhance this positive trend. These grants aim to empower entrepreneurs by easing job creation requirements, promoting business expansion, and ultimately contributing to the economic recovery of the country.
