School Package Expansion: Books to Be Added to Stationery and Clothing

According to hvylya.net: The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine plans to expand the state program 'School Package'. The new addition will concern the possibility of purchasing books with funds from this program, as reported by the ministry's press service.

Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin noted: 'We are currently working on allowing the assistance to be used for books as well, and we expect to implement this in the next three weeks.'

'Ukrainian families actively use the program, with the majority submitting applications through the mobile app 'Diia'. As of the beginning of September, nearly 128,000 families have applied for assistance, of which 122,000 used the mobile app 'Diia'', - said the official.

Already, 86,000 families have received support totaling 430 million hryvnias, which is one-third of the funds planned in the budget. Another 18,000 families are expected to receive assistance soon. However, more than 3,000 applications were rejected due to non-compliance with the program's requirements.

The minister urged parents to carefully check the data in the applications and avoid mistakes, and in case of rejection it will be possible to re-submit documents after correcting the reasons for refusal. The main problems are related to inaccuracies in the system or changes in the child's educational institution.

The program has already helped thousands of Ukrainian families, but there are some issues with application rejections due to various inaccuracies. The minister urged to carefully check the data and noted that the expansion of the program will become available very soon.
