According to Українська Прем'єр-Ліга: Pedrinho from Shakhtar became the author of the milestone, 1400th goal of Brazilian legionnaires in the history of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) during the match against Rukh. This event took place in the 31st minute of the 7th round of the VBET UPL, which once again underscores the importance of Brazilian players in domestic football.
History of Brazilian goals in Ukraine
The first goal scored by a Brazilian player in the Ukrainian Championship was recorded on March 28, 1996, when the ball found the net thanks to Luis Emerson. Currently, 151 Brazilian legionnaires have already scored 1429 goals in the Championship. In the current season of the UPL:
- Bruninho - 13 goals
- Eginhaldo - 12 goals
- Niverton and Pedrinho - 9 goals each
The top scorer list is led by Luis Adriano from Shakhtar, who has scored 77 goals.
