Social Payment Funding as of April 6
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of early April, Ukraine's Pension Fund has provided data on its social benefit expenditures and the volume of services rendered. The figures show that in April alone, the Fund's offices processed services for 282,800 individuals who applied for assistance.
Funding Volumes
A total of 19.3 billion hryvnias was allocated for pension payments. This sum was distributed through two primary channels:
- 2.8 billion hryvnias were disbursed via Ukrposhta, the national postal service;
- 16.5 billion hryvnias were paid out through authorized banks.
Beyond pensions, an additional 4.9 billion hryvnias was financed for housing subsidies and benefits. A further 1.7 billion hryvnias was allocated for insurance payments, which included 0.4 billion hryvnias specifically for sick leave compensation. State aid and other miscellaneous payments received 8 million hryvnias.
This substantial allocation highlights the Pension Fund's active role in addressing the population's social needs during a period of significant economic strain. The scale of funding directed toward pensions and housing support underscores the critical importance of the state's social safety net. The high number of services provided indicates a strong and ongoing demand for social assistance among Ukrainian citizens, reflecting the broader challenges faced by the country.
