Funding for Social Payments in Ukraine
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of February 18, Ukraine's Pension Fund has financed social payments totaling 48.3 billion hryvnias (UAH). Of this sum, 40.5 billion UAH was distributed through authorized banks, while 7.8 billion UAH was paid out via the national postal service, JSC 'Ukrposhta'. These payments are a critical component of the state's social safety net.
Additional Social Support Allocations
Beyond pensions, an additional 4.6 billion UAH was allocated for housing subsidies and benefits. Insurance payments accounted for 2.7 billion UAH, with 1.4 billion UAH of that designated for sick leave compensation. A further 8.5 million UAH was directed toward state aid and other benefits. In February alone, nearly 989.4 thousand services were provided to citizens.
This data underscores the continued operation of Ukraine's social programs, which provide vital support to the population amidst ongoing economic pressures. Distributing funds through multiple channels, including banks and postal services, helps ensure financial assistance reaches all eligible citizens, including those in remote areas. The allocation for housing subsidies is particularly significant, as it helps households manage the burden of rising utility costs and inflation.
